Religious Services and Kosher Food

Daily Minyan Services

As an official part of the Conference, space is provided for daily minyan services, and this year, the Farnsworth Room in the Hilton Hotel has been reserved for these services. The Conference accommodates minyan services but does not organize them. If you would like to attend such a service or you would like to help organize one, write to Avraham Groll at agroll@jewishgen.org

A traditional (Orthodox) service is already being organized. A Sefer Torah will be available for reading on Monday and Thursday. Shacharit (morning) services will be held each morning from Monday through Friday, and there will be Mincha (afternoon) and Maariv (evening) services each day from Sunday through Thursday.

Shabbat Services and Meals

For the Shabbat prior to the Conference on Friday, August 8th, we can offer the following options:

Kosher Food

Kosher food will be provided at Conference events by Kramer's Kosher Cuisine in South Bend, Indiana.

For Kosher consumers, the Conference team has partnered with JChef to provide “Heat & Eat” Kosher prepared meals separate from Conference functions. The meals must be purchased in advance and will be available in the Conference Kosher Hospitality Room located in the Foster Room in the Hilton Hotel. The Foster Room will be equipped with a refrigerator and specially purchased microwaves for your convenience. JChef is certified by Kosher Miami, the Vaad HaKashrus of Miami-Dade. There is a wide assortment of meal choices including Beef, Chicken, Salmon and Veggie with Gluten-Free options too.  Click here for more information about the JChef meals.

Conference Attendees can purchase meals through the Attendee Service Center by selecting “Add Meals” from the pull-down menu. Select how many meals you would like, download the Heat and Eat Selection Excel file, make payment and then, and email your meal selection to co-chair@iajgs2025.org.

The cost of the meals is $35/meal and all purchases must be made by July 25, 2025.

Questions can be addressed to our KosherSIG Facebook Group or to Hadassah Lipsius.
